How to blur

  • Open Blur Face and add your photo.
  • Let the tool look for faces, then check the boxes. If it misses one, drag over the face by hand.
  • Choose pixels or a soft blur, and set the strength.
  • Download the new picture.

Make sure it is strong enough

A light blur can sometimes be reversed or still recognised. Use a strong blur or pixelation, and zoom in to check that the person cannot be identified.

Other things to hide

  • Number plates and house numbers.
  • Names on badges or screens.
  • Documents or letters lying in the picture.
  • Street signs that reveal a location.
